Verified ReviewerLosing Income
Initial claim was filled on 12th February 2024
I filed my initial claim for a replacement power cord charger due to damage done to original. When I filed my claim not only did I give detailed description of the issue I attached photos as well showing what the issue was. After filing the claim online I made a phone...
When it came time for me to get a replacement power cord charger for my laptop, it has taken almost a month for me to get my replacement!
Then, when I insisted on having a replacement prioritized because I'm losing Income, the representative Daren I spoke to gave me misleading information that I'd receive my replacement power cord charger for my laptop & I didn't. I feel like he only acted like he made my claim a priority just to get me off the phone & make me feel like a satisfied customer & the issue had been resolved.
- Able to talk to an actual person
- Not receive replacements or repaired product in timely manner
- Customer service and getting screwed
- Customer service misleading
Preferred solution: I'd like my replacement power cord to be overnight to me.
User's recommendation: I absolutely would not recommend to anyone. Purchase laptop & warranty elsewhere. Do research on which warranty is best when purchasing your laptop

Verified Reviewer | Chicago, IllinoisHad a repair service that failed. No replacement. Lowball offer.
Had whole home service protection through Verizon. 24.99/month is the fee to have Asurion repair any device.
Had broken Apple laptop and sent it in. They kept it for two weeks and said it cannot be repaired, I qualified for replacement. They had no replacement, so I qualified for financial reimbursement and offered less than half what the computer is worth. I paid for this service through Verizon and didn't know it since June 2022.
They didn't practice fair business practices and fulfill their promises.
They are a scam company with no morals. I don't purchase their services unless you absolutely have to.
User's recommendation: Don’t use Asurion. Insure your devices and home products with reliable and honest insurance providers if you can.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am SO disappointed with Asurion.
My boyfriend broke his phone screen on his Samsung S22 Ultra. I called AT&T and they told me to file a claim with Asurion. I did that, they told me mail in was the only option in my area. For the record I live in Miami which is a HUGE city.
I ended up going to a UbreakIfix store which are the Asurion store fronts. They directed me to another store that was supposed to have the screen for his phone. I went on a wild goose chase for HOURS and each store I went to did not have the part. Finally I went to the store that did have the part but Asurion could not change the location to that store even though it was the only store that had that part available.
I was fighting on the phone with them for THREE hours while still at the store. The part ended up being reserved online by someone else while I was back and forth between the store and Asurion. I left there in TEARS. I went to AT&T and they said I could replace the phone for $275 with Asurion.
I said fine and the technician came and replaced it today. THE TECHNICIAN CRYSTAL ENROLLED ME INTO THEIR HOMETECH PROTECTION ($25 A MONTH) WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR PERMISSION. I called Asurion to remove it and they REFUSED. I ended up calling AT&T and CANCELLING all insurance with Asurion, HomeTech and mobile.
*** these people. They wasted SO much of my time yesterday and they had the AUDACITY to add $25 monthly charge without my CONSENT. This is the worst *** insurance company I have ever *** dealt with and I am GLAD to be rid of them. I will be purchasing AppleCare and SamsungCare for my devices moving forward.
DO NOT do business with this company they are only in the business of robbing people, I paid them over $1000 over the course of 2 years and I still had to pay $275 out of pocket to replace the phone.
It was the WORST experience I have had in a while and I hope AT&T sees them for the scam artists they are. *** ASURION

Verified ReviewerFRAUD/I cancelled a phone within minutes/Cancellation confirmed by phone rep/My bank card was charged
After my phone broke, I had been informed by Verizon that I had been paying for Asurion insurance. I needed a new phone as quickly as possible.
The phone rep said he could get me one- same exact model. - by Friday 1/19 (this was Wednesday 1/17) He sent me the pre authorization for payment. I filled it out and said. "I do not want to hang up until I receive a confirmation that the phone will arrive on 1/19 because if it's later, I will buy it from a local store instead.
I really need it NOW." A confirmation came through. I thanked him and hung up.
As soon as I hung up, another email came through saying the phone was out of stock. I called Asurion back within seconds to cancel the phone order. The rep tried to push me to buy another model.
I said. :No I definitely want to cancel." He assured me that I had not been charged since it was only a preauthorization that I had sent. He had me on hold for a bit, then came back to say."The phone has been cancelled. " I asked for an email cancellation.
He told me it was put through but would take a half an hour to receive.
A couple hours later, no confirmation of cancellation was sent.
I called my bank and Asurion debited an unauthorized $99 for a phone I had cancelled within seconds of getting the "out of stock"email.
I had already purchased a new phone from my neighborhood store, a phone already functioning, as I needed an immediate replacement that Asurion could not provide.
I alerted my bank Wells Fargo and they have filed a FRAUD claim against Asurion for the $99 that your rep said was not taken out. Even though I cancelled with him, he tried to bully me into buying another model of phone and illegally took the funds from my account.
Please rectify this and refund the $99 to my Wells Fargo account.
There also seems to be a problem with harassing customers to buy products instead of assisting them.
- Stealing unauthorized money harassment
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: STEER CLEAR! They try to bully you into buying and do not consider your needs.
Resolved: Horrible service in Orange county. Fraud. Incompetent employees
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. This was a two-star yesterday, but I talked to the manager he made everything right today.
I would give the Costa Mesa branch 5 stars but Asurion as a company gets a one-star reduction. Be aware that they are franchised stores.
Their website allows you to make an appointment, but I would recommend you talk to an experienced technician at the store you go to and discuss your issue. Pixel owners: there is a diagnostic test they have to run, which adds hours to the wait time, so be prepared.
Said they were out of screens, come back next week, I did...they were closing the store and told me to go to the Costa Mesa store.
2 weeks later, went there (w/appointment) said 1/2 hour to fix, I came an hour later still not fixed. Came back next week, said 2 hours to fix, I came back...waited...they had it for 5 1/2 hours, STILL not fixed and gave it back to me the defective screen!
I asked for a refund, (get this) they are FRANCHISED and they would NOT refund my money because "that was the Orange store and a different Owner."DON'T use Asurian/UbreakIfix, despite the logistical issues, send take it back to Google/Pixel for repair.

Verified ReviewerNever reimbursed
I sent my daughter's device from the source back with a cracked screen in Dec. They got back to me after a few weeks in early Jan and said they couldn't fix it and would reimburse us by mail, but it never comes.
I have called in several times and they have said to wait and they would re issue it but still hasn't arrived. I just want the tablet back at this point i could have fixed a cracked screen myself, but then what is the point of insurance!!
I will never buy another device insurance again they are all bs scams to get extra money! I am not happy and will keep calling until I get either the tablet or my money back!
- Couldnt repair a cracked screen doesnt actual reimburse you
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified Reviewer | Chicago, IllinoisWorst company ever
Worst company. Completely lowballed me on a computer they could not fix.
The company does not follow any of the policies it outlined in Verizon app. The specialists are rude on phone but tech coach people are decent. They even sent me a letter confirming my 4500.00 laptop is only worth 1093. Even though they can satisfy a claim for 2000-**** they assured me that offer is not for me.
My husband is a 100% disabled veteran and I am his caregiver. Im going to the OIG to report fraud and abuse. I might end up getting an attorney because I want to blackball anyone from using this company. We needed that computer while looking for a new home and me a new job.
My daughter also used it for college.
They are sending the computer back and cant wait to see what condition its in. I will search for a solution after I receive it but my mission to expose this company for its unfair business practices is just beginning.
User's recommendation: Do not pay for home device protection through this company.

You are losing income and getting behind on bills all over a charger that is $35 or less?
What sense does it make to come out of pocket for a charger when one is covered under the warranty & I don't have to pay for it?
And the type of charger I need is not $35 or less. Plus who said I'm behind on my bills in what I said? U wouldn't know that, yes I AM losing Income because my laptop is my source of income since I work from home.
