I don't know who to be mad at - Verizon for not explaining the lousy coverage or myself for not doing due diligence. I took out Asurion insurance on my I Phone at $9.99 a month.

Lost the I Phone and filed a claim....found out the deductible is $169 and the phone cost me $99 and I can replace it at that same price at a Verizon store. I didn't follow through on the claim so haven't been in a position to experience the problems that many of the other writers had with the Asurion process.

You can bet I am calling Verizon to cancel that insurance!

You should look on the website at the $99 phone and see what the non contract price is -- that is the price you would pay for the phone if it is lost, stolen or damaged while you are in the middle of your contract. That is actually why companies offer it, to protect the customers from having to pay the non contract price.
